Leeds Utd vs Spurs Odds Guide, Preview, Betting Predictions, Picks: Must-Win As LUFC Battle Relegation

Son Heung-MinSunday’s game at Elland Road (11.30am ET; 4.30pm BST) is one of the few remaining EPL fixtures with anything riding on it. The title winners have been crowned and the Champions League places have all been decided. All that’s left are the minor European slots and, more importantly, relegation.

Southampton are already down, so that leaves Leeds United, Everton and Leicester City fighting to avoid two more relegation places. It is a desperate battle, but Leeds could benefit from a home fixture against a Spurs team on a dreadful run of form.

Tottenham have something to play for too: A win in this match will see them claim the consolation prize of a place in the Europa Conference League, if Aston Villa drop points in their match against Brighton.

How will it play out? This LUFC vs THFC preview with betting tips, picks and predictions, plans to find out.

The match result betting is tight and it shows Spurs in front, but only just. The away win can be claimed at 11/8 in places while victory for Leeds is available at a general 17/10. Anyone looking to back a share of the points can back the draw at 14/5.

Recent results show that both teams are displaying relegation form. Leeds United have claimed just two points from their last six matches in a desperate attempt to beat the drop. Spurs are just two points better off, and their only win in their last seven came via a 1-0 home victory over Crystal Palace.

It could certainly be as close as those results odds suggest, but who are the players who can decide the final outcome?

Spurs’ Harry Kane has enjoyed another spectacular season, despite his team’s overall struggles. The club’s main striker claimed his 28th goal of the campaign against Brentford last weekend, and he is the favorite in Sunday’s first goalscorer market.

Kane is available at best odds of 4/1, while the Leeds’ pair of Rodrigo and Patrick Bamford follow. Rodrigo is on offer at a top price of 11/2, while Bamford is quoted at a best of 7/1, but we have to be careful here. Both men are carrying injuries and, in the case of Bamford, reports at the time of writing suggest he is almost certain to miss out. Rodrigo has more of a chance, but you should monitor updates before backing either player.

Other options in the first goalscorer betting could include Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min at 15/2 or Richarlison at 19/2. Leeds United backers may want to take a look at Georginio Ruttter at 8/1 or Crysencio Summerville at 11/1.

In other side bets, Both Teams to Score is available for this game at 4/9 in places. That’s shorter than most weeks, and you may want to consider the ‘no’ bet on BTTS which is quoted at best industry odds of 19/10.

Next is the Total Combined Goals betting and we’ll open with a stake Over the 2.5 line which is currently available at odds of 1/2 with many of the top sportsbooks. That is also a short figure, so we may want to consider pushing the bet to Over 3.5 goals which is quoted at 13/10. Anyone looking for a quiet 90 minutes at Elland Road could consider Under 2.5 goals which can be backed at 6/4.

Our last side market of the 2023/24 EPL season focuses on the Correct Score. The markets that we have looked at so far suggest a close game with plenty of goals. If you agree with that theory, we could opt for Leeds 2 Spurs 3 at best odds of 22/1. That same scoreline in favor of Leeds is also available at a top price of 22/1, while the 2-2 draw concludes this section at a best of 11/1.

Our Preview’s LUFC vs THFC Betting Predictions & Picks Verdict

Some of the side bets that this preview has considered point to an attacking game full of goals. Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals are shorter than usual this week, but recent results don’t necessarily back up that theory.

Leeds have certainly been shipping in goals, and they have conceded 25 times in their last eight league games. Spurs, however, aren’t necessarily equipped to take advantage and, Harry Kane aside, they are struggling in front of the target.

The other main issue here is that Leeds could well be without both of their main strikers. Patrick Bamford was clearly in discomfort as he limped out of last weekend’s game at West Ham nursing a hamstring injury. Rodrigo could be risked, but how close is he to full fitness?

Leeds will be desperate for the points and they could leave themselves open at the back, but we suspect that Spurs are not in the kind of form that will see them take advantage. A share of the points in a low scorer is our preference here, so our two picks are the draw on the moneyline and under 2.5 goals.
