Carbon Poker & Sportsbook Review

Carbon Poker is aimed at USA poker players, with the exception of a whopping 10 restricted American states. We are not going to list those states because we do not advise you join Carbon anyway just at the moment. It had an acceptable history as a fair and safe place to play, until now.

Unfortunately there are reports of non-payment of player and affiliate funds. We would prefer to call these ‘delayed payments’. Either way there is no way we can recommend a brand in a review that has serious payout issues. Players need to be paid in a timely manner and when they are not it tends to suggest major cash flow problems for the company involved.

Let us hope these are minor gremlins that are sorted out quickly and that Carbon Poker can get back on track. It is far too early to be talking about a scam or players being left out of pocket.

Carbon Poker

It is on the Merge Poker Network and so has reasonable player-number liquidity. They had the typical welcome bonuses of 100% match up to $600 extra. They also had a good reputation. That is why the recent turn of events is so troubling.

Carbon Sports

USAbetting.com was never a fan of the hastily added sports betting section. That is because it is merely a skin of bookmaker.eu, which is a firm that we have had an unhappy experience with and that we certainly do not trust.

Therefore this raises questions about Carbon Sports’ relationship with bookmaker.eu. Firstly, they may not be in a solid position if they are relying so heavily on sportsbook services provided by an untrustworthy company. Secondly, it is surely a slapdash business decision for a large US-facing company to have a mere skin for a sportsbook, rather then operating it properly themselves. It shows no commitment to that product. From a bettor’s point of view, they may as well sign up with the firm operating the sportbook itself rather than utilising the intermediary of Carbon Sports. However in this instance we do not actually advise that. Two of the best sportsbooks and poker sites to join are listed to the right (or below for mobile users) and they are Bovada and BetOnline.

Our Carbon Poker Review Verdict

We did used to recommend this firm but we can not do so now. There are too many risks involved for players with the reported payment issues. There are much better alternatives that can be trusted, that are recommended on our website here at USAbetting.com. Please do let us know about your recent experience and give your personal Carbon Poker review using the facility below.

Delayed Payout

Carbon Poker has been a good firm, but I am now facing my longest delay ever for a payout.
